KART RACING EVENTS/

Utah Karting Championships

Karting is not only the most popular method for young people to learn racing skills that will help them advance up the racing ladder, but also a great family-oriented recreational activity. Miller Motorsports Park hosts two karting championships on its state-of-the-art, 0.9-mile karting circuit. The Icebreaker Kart Championship Presented by HeritageWest Credit Union is a five-race series that runs from March through May, and the Utah Karting Championship is a 10-race series that runs from June through October. Each championship has 14 classes, based on age and engine size/type. Ages range from five to 95; and the karts can range in top speed from 25 mph to 95 mph, depending on class. Karters will be competing on the Miller Kart Track for trophies and points in their respective classes towards the overall series championships.

Arrive & Race Programs

Do you want to get your adrenaline pumping, but you just don’t have the time or equipment? Miller Motorsports Park is now offering two affordable Arrive & Race Programs for everyone to enjoy. We will provide helmets, head socks, gloves, race suits and karts.  All you need to bring is yourself.  You can experience karting at a whole new level in our new League Racing Program. You will be able to compete in one race a month from May to September. Sign up today to improve your skills and compete against other drivers with varied skill levels.  Drivers will be grouped based on weight to ensure a competitive field.  Prizes will be awarded each week to race winners and at the end of the year to the overall points leader. Our other Arrive & Race Program takes your karting experience to an even higher level. You can participate in one or many of the Utah Karting Championships series races. We have several karts available to you for several different classes. All you have to do is call the Kart Center to reserve the kart and come out to race against experienced drivers.

Championship Programs: Rookie Status

All new drivers and/or drivers who have not competed in a kart racing event during the prior calendar year will be required to attend a Driver Orientation to Karting class provided at no charge by Miller Motorsports Park. Please contact the Kart Center for class dates and times. Once this class has been completed, the driver will be required to start at the back of each grid for at least three race event weekends. The driver's ability will be evaluated by the Race Director and his/her officials. Once this has been completed, the driver may request that his/her rookie status be dropped. Any driver wishing to compete in a Miller Motorsports Park event who has competed in a local, regional, or national event (e.g., CSC, Skusa, Gatorz) during the prior calendar year will need to provide proof of participation (printed results from mylaps.com, for example). It will be the driver's responsibility to provide those documents to the Race Director. All drivers who have rookie status shall have an orange number panel on the rear of the kart at all times (practice and race). This also applies to Test and Tune sessions.
