Yamaha Champions Riding School
The Yamaha Champions Riding School at Miller Motorsports Park has one single goal: to make you a better motorcycle rider. We limit each school to a maximum of 20 students, load it up with the best instructors on the planet and then take the next two or three days to meet your goals and exceed your expectations.
The Yamaha Champions Riding School program takes place on the award-winning Miller Motorsports Park, but is aimed at street riders as well as track-day participants and racers. We like to think of the track as a big, wide lane on a winding canyon road…minus the gravel, oncoming traffic, radar traps or guard rails! You will never find a more safe and forgiving environment to learn the advanced skills needed to truly enjoy this sport.
Learning gets a whole lot easier while aboard the best 600 in the sportbike world: the Yamaha R6. Not only does the R6 win races at all levels, but it has also been heralded as one of the most competent sport bikes available today. We augment the R6 with the slightly roomier R6S and throw in a handful of FZ1s for those of tall inseam; all our bikes roll on sticky Michelin Power Pilots. But what stands out about these three bikes, and any bike you ride after graduating from the Yamaha Champions Riding School, is that the rider is the most important component in making the bike great.
You can arrive at the school in street clothes because we offer a full selection of Alpinestars riding gear available for rent, plus championship-winning Arai helmets (check in advance for sizing availability). The school provides transportation from the hotel to the track each day, plus lunch and snacks, so all you need to do is book a flight, grab a room and get ready to ride.
The Yamaha Champions Riding School will mix a blend of classroom time, lapping sessions, single-focus drills, lead-follow sessions, at-speed demonstrations and your bike and body on video in an effort to make you an expert rider. Combine this curriculum with expert-level feedback from the five hand-chosen instructors, plus guest instructors from the Yamaha Racing world, and all you will need is a desire to learn. We’re ready to meet your goals and exceed your expectations.
